Ebel has been founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the historic birthplace of watch-making industry by Swiss industrialist and watchmaker Eugene Blum and his wife Alice Levy, the brand was name after the initials of: Eugene Blum et Levy. In 1971, their grand-son Pierre-Alain Blum took the lead of the brand and renewed its collections and the company keep growing.
Ebel has forged itself a reputation of luxury, elegance but the brand has always valued innovative high-end design as the signature of its exclusive watch making. Ebel has seen itself as the architect of the Swiss watch manufacturing industry and has kept highlighting it throughout its history both with its famous slogan: Ebel, the Architects of Time, and with its longlasting links with the world of architecture and design.
